Ribbons, Lace and Twine

Well it has been an amazing couple of months for me, crafting up a storm and getting myself out there in the crafting world.
I'm so excited to announce that I have been added to My Besties Pretty pre-coloured pintables design team and I cannot wait to show you my very first inspiration for their new challenge #6

When I got this beautiful 3d sheet with Bestie - Blakely Ann swing

I new straight away I had to create something that had her being able to really swing.
I printed her sheet out twice, so that I could add a few extra layers.
I made and extra layer at the front of her hair (piece in front of her headband)
and an extra layer with the shoes.

So I thought I would use my Katie Label Accordian die set
a great die set to use for making a moving or swing creation in a card.
I cut out 7 pieces (double layer for the card part and 3 layer for the swing frame)
out of green cardstock from my stash
and used paper pad 6x6 Hot off the press - rosemary and thyme
1 piece in a patterned paper for the front of the card
I then cut out 2 large plain purple labels
2 medium patterned paper labels
1 small oval (which comes with this die) in plain purple
I then embossed in white on the oval piece 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY'
I now piece it all together placing the bestie swing in between a layer to hold firmly in place.
I have also added some sparkle to her  with my clear wink of stella
and stamped a lace pattern in Stampin up  ' whisper white' around the swing frame.
I've then added some embellishments with Button brads, lace ribbon flower,
2 x ribbon bows and brass rose trinket.
and finally before joining the accordion labels together I used Katie Holly Frame Edges die
to frame out the 2 main card pieces.
Now piece the labels together with the little tabs provided.
and my Bestie accordion card with Bestie hanging a swing is complete.
