My Image I'm creating with ths month is The beautiful
SPRING ORCHID
As always I have created with her in my style and done her as a A3 mixed media journal page layout.

step 1 - printed on A3 canvas paper

step 2 - coated with white gesso and used a music sheet back ground stamp with black archival ink
to give page some texture and life

Step 3 - added another light coat of white gesso

step 4 - added some colour with my caran water soluble crayons
and blended with a baby wipe

step 5 - using my brayer I added some more white gesso just to dull done colours and give it a more blended look.

step 6 - I now added colour to my image using,
water soluble crayons, water colour pencils, acrylic paint, and faber castell pencils..
many many layers adding colour till I was happy with the final look.

I hope I have inspired you to pop by Julia's store and grab some wonderful images and create some beautiful art, cards, journal page.. what ever your imagination can come up with.

The final piece was cut out and with gel medium I added it to my journal and then created lots of 3d embellishments by doubling up the layers of the orchids and the bird... I also added Nuvo glossy accents to her clothing. and finished off with some white splashes and some highlights.
