It's Egg Hunting Time ..........

Challenge #7 is all about EASTER.
Time to make those cards, gifts and holiday decorations.
For this challenge I have made a cute card using some great products I have in my collection.
For this card
I have used a 3d pre coloured image
- cute little sitting bunny girl.
I thought went perfect with the bench die I was going to use.
For the card base I have used a 6" x 12" piece of green cardstock and then the inside of the card  in cream cardstock I have used
Elizabeth Craft Design - pop it up die
* 780 - Garden Bench
Cut a second bench in black cardstock and used parts to accent the chair. In Green I made some tuffs of grass from the die that is also in this set.
I now have the base of my card ready to decorate.
For the posts and banners I used pink and purple cardstock and used the
Elizabeth Craft Design - pop it up die
* 778 - Lots of Pop
Added some cord, bling and pen detailed edges and faux stitching to flags.
For the sky background I have used a Elizabeth Craft Design
* iris blue shimmer sheet and embossed it with a folder from Darice * Cloudy Sky
then sanded the sheet to bring clouds out more. Coloured the edges blue and then added a sun and cloud made using
Lawn Fawn Die
* #LF657 Spring showers
For the grass background I have used a photo of grass I took myself and printed.
Then I Cut out about 14 medium and small egg shapes using a mix of different coloured shimmer sheets and embossed them with folders from Cuttlebug
* Oriental Backgrounds set
* Swiss Dots
And did the same as the cloud background and sanded each embossed egg to highlight the embossing.
I then placed them around the card in different spots and pop them up for more 3d effect.
This was a fantastic fun card to make and it was great to get out my stash of gorgeous fun dies and embossing folders .

I hope I have inspired you to get out those dies you might not use much and make something fun for easter.
then pop over and add your creation to the challenge #7 at
My Bestie's 3d deco blog

Happiness is Beary Daisy

Welcome to my very first post and inspiration piece for
 Creative Moments Design Team
Challenge #64 - CARD , TAG OR GIFT
FOR MUM OR A SPECIAL LADY

My creation today is a gift made for special lady, my mum.

I made this cute little tea light using what I had sitting around my craft room and the house.
And the cute digi is from Di's digital downloads -
 HAPPINESS IS BEARY DAISY

I've coloured him with my copics

Flower - E71 E77 , Y11 Y15
Grass leaf and bug - G12 G14 G17
Shirt - B00 B02 B05
Bear - E74 E79 E97, E93 and Blending fluid dabbed over the top with a course dry sponge
to give the fluffy look.

To make the tea light holder I have used a small Coffee Jar
Wrapped it with Cardstock die cut with Fancy That steel die - lattice
and backing piece in Light Blue foil cardstock embossed with Darice folder - Cloudy sky
and sanded to bring out the embossed clouds
Inside I have added my battery operated tea light and surrounded with Green glass pebbles
then added ribbon, bow, butterfly and tag.

This little tea light is so cute and gives off a fantastic light of blues and green when lit, and show casing this cute little bear.

Stepping Back in Time with My Besties

Here's another Creation Using these fun My Besties.
I love steampunk so when I saw this cutie I just had to have her.
http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/auction_details.php?name=Digi-Stand-MyBesites-Sherri-Baldy-Steam-Punk-Bestie&auction_id=107336

 I always start my colouring with the plan to stick with a colour theme, but as usual I always end up throwing in some colours I didn't expect.. and I'm so glad because it came out fantastic with the touches of red and blue.

I used my Silhouette Cameo and dies for most of this card and it was great fun putting this all together.

                                             The dies are
Crafty Ann - Border 15 steampunk (using brown cardstock)
and
Cherry Lynn Designs -B383 Owls with gears steampunk (using brown cardstock and  Viva Décor Inka gold
and
Silhouette files
Steampunk clock (using Elizabeth craft design Opel fire gemstone shimmer sheet, white iris shimmer sheet and black cardstock)

Roman clock & gears and cogs (using black and grey card stock)
and under this cut I have used a 6x6 sheet from
 Kaiser kraft pad - Madame Boutique

The base of the card is another silhouette file

Top Hat card (using black, grey and red cardstock

The embellishments are from my stash, years of collecting ...
Feathers, Steampunk key, cog, Tags, feather and a nice shiny button which was silver, so I coloured it with some
 Tim Holtz -ADIRONDACK alcohol ink - butterscotch
also used some off cuts of coloured Mesh and
Mulberry paper flowers and a black fabric flower

Lastley I finished off with making a small Banner and a Happy Birthday black peel off sticker, and putting some
 Inkssentials - crackle accents on a few pieces.

I hope you love my card and get inspired to pop over to My Bestie designs and buy some beautiful digi's and start creating your own masterpieces.

Under the Sea - Chunky book swap.....

My favourite time of year in crafting is here , CHUNKY BOOK SWAP time..... and Aussie Crafters do the best ones...
Last year I did my very first chunky swap and I have been addicted ever since.

https://www.facebook.com/events/417179248464533/?ref=4

I was that excited about joining the swap I made enough for 2 books, and I'm so glad I did as they are fantastic little collections of art by very crafty people.
The Theme for this swap was RAINBOW and wow rainbow they were.
 Each person in the swap was given colour to create with and to make their 7-9 double sided pages.
This is what we all ended up with after the swap ( I got 2 books) lucky me!!! ;) and what my pages looked liked back and front

These are fantastic ways of creating and the chunkier the better, some of the pages in the books are mind blowing, some had hidden chambers in them, which contained a necklace and charms and trinkets and things that popped out, one even had a roll of washi tape attached.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
So this year we are hoping at Aussie Crafters to do at least 3 - 4 chunky's a year, and with having a fantastic creative bunch of crafters I think they will be even more amazing this time round.

So our first chunky for 2015 is themed "UNDER THE SEA"
It is a 10 x 15cm landscape page,
 always made on a good firm cardstock
 500gsm + (chipboard, grungeboard, mounting board & project card. )

I've gone all out this swap and made a water shaker or Gel card.

 On my front page I have made my water/ gel page.
Using * a small plastic bag
*good strong adhesive tape
* Hair gel
* Chunky light blue glitter
*cardstock to make the frame over the bag to conceal its edges
* Tim Holtz Distress ink - Salty Ocean
* Stampendous - embossing enamel
- aged green and aged marine
* Bubble bling
* Designs by Ryn - stamp, Textures
 * Lawn Fawn stamp set - Critters in the Sea.

On the back page I have covered it with
* Elizabeth Craft Design - light blue velvet adhesive paper
* Hand drawn on some bubbles and my words
" UNDER THE SEA"
* Cut out 2 clam shapes out of heavy cardstock then embossed both pieces one side with
* Stampendous - embossing enamel
- aged rose and shabby green
Joined the clams together, gluing a piece of satin ribbon.
* added some charms and trinkets
then glued into place on page  and added a blue glass pebble to embellish the page more.

Inspiration from my talented design team

----------------------------------------------------------------------

This link below is a video I have made showing you my chunky page and a chat about what a chunky page swap is .
It is my first video so please bear with me as I learn.. I do hope though that you enjoy it and understand what a chunky swap is .

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 now I have my completed Chunky page
and when I join in the swap with Aussie crafters I have to replicate this page 7-9 times depending on the sign up number, so that I will then get a completed book back after the swap with everyone's under the sea themed chunky page in it.

I hope you are inspired to create something wonderful and be apart of owning your very own chunky book.

My Enchanted Seaside where Mermaids Play

Hello Crafty People... Today I want to share with you a card I made, its been quite the process. I really didn't think it would come together.
a new challenge inspired me to use some of my Bestie digi's
http://2015worldwideopendesignteamchallenge.blogspot.com/

 I'm glad I stuck with it because I think it came out perfect and hopefully tells a little story and inspires you to never give up on anything in life, always push through.

This Beautiful Image which I have coloured with my copics and made into a 3d Bestie.

  http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/                 https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/SherriBaldy

To put this card together has been a mission and I have used many many items and techniques.
the card base is a 6' x 12' and I have made up a custom pop up in the centre with Kaiser Kraft - base coat collection
P1061 distressed
as a platform for the cute mermaid Bestie to sit on.
covered the back with Kaiser Kraft - Base coat collection
P1063 concrete
and base with Rowlux illusion film - Dark Blue Moire

I then added some glass pebbles sea green and sea blue and surrounded it all with Inkssentials - Glossy accents and
Derivan Matisse glass beads 1.5mm and 3mm. giving the card base a great wet, sea and bubbly finish.
I then added some a couple of stamped images and words from stamp set sea breeze from - Clear Impressions
and finally a little dolphin from Lawn Fawn set - Critters of the Sea

On the background I have added some ribbon mesh and distressed it and added some green moss.
up top I've added some dry seaweed (from my local beach) and a opal glass pebble and also a Prima Junkyard Findings - water pipes part.
finished detail with a EK edge punch - cake piping large and some bling on mermaid waist and top boarder.

It was lots of work but i'm so glad I pushed through with it, I think it came out great .
I hope I have inspired you to get creative and push your creativity further then you ever have.

Happy Crafting
